Diamond coated, very fine grit,  2  3/4" filling surface and 5 1/2" in length including the plastic handle. 
The triangle file  provides a nice score when cutting filato.  Simply draw one of the edges across the the filato.  You are not using the file to cut the filato, only to make a score line. You can easily and accurately snap the filato to the size you want.
