Rust with White Chevrons Bogolanfini apx 70" x 40"
 
The African textiles, bogolanfini, or mud cloths, are traditionally woven by the women and dyed by the men of Mali, they were originally used for hunters' shirts and womens' wraps. The cloth is hand woven in traditioanl strips aproximately 15cm (5.9") wide and dyed by an age old process using local flora and mud. These strips are sewn together to make a whole cloth.
