Burmese Silk Blends Because of the inconsistancy of the last several shipments, severe dye loss and broken threads we will not be carrying Burmese Silk blend until we are gauranteed better quality. We have been substituting our Vietnamese Silk with great success. They quality and colors are fabulous! And Yes it is washable!   Hemp Fabrics Hemp is a strong and durable fabric and comes in a variety of colors. It is woven in the Golden Triangle by the Hmong Tribe. We have used this hemp in clothing, pillows, table runners and window treatments.  The price is $7.00 per yard, 14" wide. Kasuri Fabrics Beautifully woven Kasuri created using the authentic, traditional Japanese methods. Each thread is dyed before weaving. Knowing where the threads will cross in the non-dyed segments when woven together creates the pattern. This fabric is hand woven, indigo dyed by a mother and son in a three-person "factory" in Japan. I am told to tell every one of my customers that they weave a thread of peace in every fabric. All patterns are $24 per yard, 14"-15" wide. Indigo Fabrics This is traditional indigo dyed by the Mien Tribe in the Golden triangle. These are their traditional patterns for their clothing. The patterns are created by tying the fabric before the cloth is dyed. The tied areas resist the color during the dye bath. Different color ranges are created by untying and re-dyeing specific areas and not others. All patterns are $15.00 per yard, 42" wide 100% cotton. Mud Cloth Also known as Bogolan is woven and dyed in Mali. Handwoven and handdyed this mudcloth uses centuries old dye process using numerous applications of various plant juices and mud to achieve the beautiful colors and designs. This cloth is still in the strips before it is sewn together into the panels. This makes it easy to use as accents in home dec, bags and clothing. It is 5 inches wide and is $3.00 per foot. 4 Ply Thai Silk Our 4 Ply is gorgeous!The colors are bold and brilliant. It can be thrown in the washer and the dryer to "beat it up" if you want it softer. It is much stronger then Dupioni and is good for garments and home dec. It is 42" wide and $28.00 per yd. Guatemalan Fabrics 1/2 yd Cuts This Guatemalan fabric is handwoven cotton.Most are ikats.The colors are beautiful and intense. These fabrics are great for garments such as jackets and vests The stripes Ikats and colors lend themselves to home dec, pillows, table runners and wall hangings. It is 36" wide and $15.00 yd.  Guatemalan Fabric by the Yard This Guatemalan fabric is handwoven cotton.Most are ikats.The colors are beautiful and intense. It is 36" wide and $15.00 yd.  Yukata Fabric Yukata fabric is traditional blue and white fabric used for the summer Japanese Kimono. It is 14" wide and comes in an assortment of beautiful patterns. Great for piecing in garments,pillows, table runners and quilts. Four 1yd cuts of coordinating patterns $28.00.     Vietnamese Silk Taffeta Vietnamese Silk Taffeta is a beautiful very smooth silk. The colors are deep and luscious. They all go together very nicely. We have made The Athena Jacket, and several of the The Lolita skirts. For the machine embroiders this is a perfect canvas!
