Mud cloth, also known as Bogolan, is handwoven and dyed in Mali. The beautiful colors and designs are achieved using a centuries old dyeing process involving the application of various plant juices and mud. This cloth is still in the strips before it is sewn together into the panel which makes it easy to use as accents in home decor, bags and clothing.
The fabric is apx 5 inches wide and is $4.00 per foot.
The larger pieces are approximately 48" x 72". They are made up of strips sewn together. Beautiful textile art that is hand spun, hand dyed and handwoven in Mali. Great to use as wallhangings, over a chair or bed or as fabric for pillows or garments.
